New camera, new wine, and more fun

So finally after a years worth of wanting, months of research, a few last minute changes, we bought a Digital SLR camera. Picking the camera wasn’t too difficult but finding the “perfect” lens was a little more difficult. After all the dust settled we decided to go with a one-size-fits-all type lens: the Tamron 18-200mm 3.5/6.3 Macro. Of course there are other lenses to buy at a later date but we wanted something that we could travel with (didn’t want to carry two lenses on long hikes) but still get a wide range of use out of.

Fresh out of the box with a fully charged battery, we grabbed the camera, hit the road and had a bunch of good wine (we had a DD of course). 5 pictures later, we were done. Not quite the photo-outing but wine was the priority! Highlight of the trip was the Bailey winery; great reds! We will be back.
