Soaking Up the Season

With William’s arrival and everything else going on in our lives it seems like fall is flying by. Before I knew it, October was over and here we are almost at Thanksgiving. Before we get wrapped up in pumpkin pie, Christmas shopping, holiday travels and all things winter, here’s a quick rundown of how we spent our fall.

Sophia continues to be a curious little monkey with her brother. She’s really started to love him…sometimes a little too much.

This post may be about fall, but our weather has been anything but fall-ish lately with temps still hitting 90 a few days in October. I’m ready for sweater and scarf weather already! The nice thing about the warm weather is it meant many afternoons and evenings at the park which Sophia loves. We also ventured out to a pumpkin patch on one of the 90 degree days. Sophia loved running around trying to pick up pumpkins that were larger than her head.

This year we also took Sophia out on Halloween. Last year I didn’t even put her in a costume so seeing both of my babies decked out was so much fun. Even better that Dad was around to see it since last year he was stuck out of town. Sophia was a bumble bee and Will was a pilot. Thanks Grandpa and Lainey and Laura and Gabe for the costumes! We met met up with friends to do some trick-or-treating and Sophia actually enjoyed it…at least for the first three houses.

Time may be flying by and pushing us into the holiday season but we’re soaking up every moment together that we can. Until next time!
