Something about our youngest becoming a teenager is a bit jarring. While Will turned 13 this year he is far from the stereotypical brooding teenager…most of the time. Will is curious, helpful and always up for adventure – big or small. He continues to have an eclectic range of hobbies ranging from baseball to music, art to mountain biking. He loves his family and I love that at 13 he still lets me accompany him to the bus stop each morning and gives me a hug goodbye. I’m clinging to these opportunities while they last!
While the birthday celebrations began the weekend prior in Philadelphia, we still had our traditional celebrations at home over Will’s birthday weekend. Pancakes for breakfast, racing at the F1 Arcade, homemade ravioli and a simple ice cream sundae – what more could a newly minted 13 year old ask for? Perhaps pulling his first auto in a pack of baseball cards. It only took over a 1,000 cards to happen but who’s counting?

Will – you are one of a kind! Thanks for keeping us on our toes and giving us plenty to smile about for 13 years.
