So we arrived in Santa Fe around 1ish today.  We had plenty of time to explore this little sleepy town and kinda liked it.  It was much smaller than we had thought (only 70,000 or so people live here) but there was a nice little downtown area full of shops and local street vendors.

Tomorrow it’s off to the Grand Canyon.  There’s been a slight change of plans and we are no longer camping in the National Park.  Turns out the overnight low of 18 degrees combined with wind gusts of up to 45 mph means we may or may not have froze our butts off.  We decided to play it smart and get a room at a nearby hotel.
