Not to be confused with Hump Day. Today was Bump Day for a few reasons. First, the check engine light in the Saab came on just before we were about to hit the road. Opposed to fixing the car and spending 3 more days in Little Rock, we decided to rent a truck and tow the Saab and continue our adventure. Three hours later, we were on the road. Shortly after we discovered what a poorly maintained interstate I-40 is. Nearly all 600 miles of our drive was constant pot holes and poorly surfaced roads. Needless to say, I was glad Phil was driving the truck with the not- so-good shocks instead of me. After a long day we arrived safe and sound in Amarillo. Hoping the drive tomorrow is better. Pictures of what I spent my day looking at — I-40 and Miss Lucy.
