It’s not big but Lucy doesn’t mind…

So it’s been a few weeks and we’re still living in the wonderful Extended Stay in Oceanside. I checked into my new squadron, HMLA/T-303, a few weeks ago and it’s been busy, busy, busy ever since. They handed me a few thousand pages of user manuals for the new UH-1Y helicopter and I started to read. In addition to flying, all pilots in the squadron have collateral duties; I’m officially part of the S-2 shop (Marine lingo for the intelligence department of the squadron). Intel…. boy did they pick the wrong guy for the job!

Mere and I have been out looking for houses and still haven’t found the perfect one. It’s very interesting learning about the quirks of the real estate market when 80% of the homes are short sales. Turns out there’s nothing short about a short sale either… Enjoy the pictures from our first few adventures!
