Minnesota Part II: Laura & Gabe Got Married!

The second part of our trip (and the real reason for our trip to Minnesota) brought us back to Minneapolis for Laura & Gabe’s wedding. Prior to the wedding festivities kicking off we spent some quality time with my family. We had the opportunity to check out my parent’s newly renovated kitchen – it’s a beaut! – and also made the requisite trip to Dunn Bros Coffee Shop to sample some coffee made by our favorite local barista, my brother John.

On Friday the wedding events kicked off with a tour of the Mill City Museum, where the wedding would take place the next day. I never considered touring the museum when I lived in Minneapolis and was pleasantly surprised. The design of the tour was very unique and it’s worth going on for the view at the top alone – the mighty Mississippi was in full force! After a brief rehearsal we headed to Nye’s Polonaise Room to enjoy some classic Polish dishes and mingle with family and friends.

Saturday was wedding day and all the ladies were off and running by 8:30am. The day flew by quickly and before we knew it, Laura was walking down the aisle – she looked stunning! Laura & Gabe planned a beautiful wedding and reception and the night was a huge hit! I think everyone’s favorite part was the traveling photo booth; as you can tell there was much fun to be had in the booth. We were glad to have the opportunity to visit all of the family and friends who were in town for the wedding and celebrate with Laura and Gabe – cheers to the happy couple!
