January was a quiet, sleepy start to the new year. Sure there was school and work but noticeably absent were work trips and about half the school days. The massive blizzards that rocked the area resulted in no less than 6 snow days. What’s that? You missed the news of the great blizzard of 2018? Oh, well that might be impart because we had a total of 0.03 inches of snow this month (plus 0.94 inches of rain). Yeah, real winter warriors around here. Whatever.

Despite the lack of snow, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Will has started reading and Sophia is eager to help (except for the days they’re driving each other bonkers). Pretty soon they’ll be in college! That’s pride beaming through my smile not the prospect of a peaceful, quiet, empty home…
