Since our original holiday plans involved a ski trip, we opted for the beach over the mountains for spring break. The Spurlocks joined us for a few days of fun on the Golf Coast which was even better. We didn’t show up with much of an agenda but managed to fill our days. One full day was spent on the water pontooning in St. Andrew Bay and along the beaches of Shell Island.

Having spent one day on the water cruising east, the next day we hopped on our beach cruisers and biked to the opposite end of 30A passing through all the little beach towns between Rosemary and Grayton beach. Each had their own vibe (and hoards of tourists).

While we all agreed the Gulf Coast beaches are unmatched, the area has really grown since we lived nearby nearly 20 years ago. A quick trip but always time well spent with friends and soaking in the sun!
