Fortunately for me, Phil didn’t participate in the mustache movement but the word is kind of catchy. November hasn’t quite come to an end but the holidays are already in full swing here leaving me to wonder where the month went. Here’s a quick rundown…

November started with the usual pomp and circumstance for the Marine Corps Birthday and Phil had two celebrations to attend. He went to the first one solo and the next day I got all dressed up and went along. Sophia was left in good hands for the evening and Mom & Dad had a great night out.

Last weekend we enjoyed a pretty standard Thanksgiving – good friends and lots of good eats. I brought and cooked the bird and Jess (our host) made all of the yummy sides. We had quite the feast!

The next day we braved the Black Friday crowds and did some Christmas shopping. On Saturday we headed to Home Depot and picked up our Christmas tree. That night after Sophia went to bed we decked the halls (or at least the tree) and then sat back to enjoy some wine and leftover Thanksgiving treats while taking it all in.

And now for Sophia. The big news for her is that she finally has a tooth! Well, almost a tooth; it just broke through the gum. Hopefully next time we’re back we’ll have a picture of a smiling Sophia showing off that tooth.
