The whole family cruised north for one final ski trip of the season, this time to Northstar. Three Wiktors were very excited to hit the slopes, and one Wiktor was looking forward to a few days of rest and relaxation. Binge watching Ted Lasso and working on a 1,000 piece puzzle – sign me up!
While Tahoe had a ton of snow early in the season, March brought warmer temperatures and not much snow accumulation. Even though the ski conditions weren’t the best, Phil and the kids made the most of our ski-in/ski-out accommodations getting out to ski first thing in the morning, returning for a quick lunch, and then heading out for a few more runs before the warm temps turned everything to slush for the day. The afternoons meant hot cocoa and homework (sorry kids, that’s what happens when your parents pull you out of school to go on ski trips,) followed by dinner and movie in the evening. Of course Phil and Will had to recreate Pebble’s mac n cheese from their last trip to Northstar and it did not disappoint.
While the skiing on the East coast won’t hold a candle to the resorts in the Tahoe area, Epic passes were purchased so maybe three or four Wiktors will be back again soon.
