What to do on a gray day?

The clouds are out and the kids are restless! Quick, find something to do so both parents and kids don’t lose it! It was one of those Saturdays that led us up to the Air and Space Museum near Dulles. We’ve been to the Air and Space Museum on the National Mall a few times; however, this was not the weekend to venture there due to inauguration antics so it was out west to see something new.

All-in-all it was a hit. Parents and kids alike enjoyed checking out the planes, helicopters, and space shuttle. It was particularly impressive to see a space shuttle up close and get a sense of both the scale as well as the engineering feat it represents. Turns out it is not trivial to get to outer space and back then turn around and do it again.
