Move #9 under the belt. Not something we were excited to complete but we hatched a plan and executed when the time was right. Being that this was a move around the corner, we shuttled most of our stuff south a carload or two at a time. Our schedules were a little wonky this month so the timing didn’t seem ideal… The ladies had a trip to VA Beach and Will had a grand adventure spanning from the kitchens (and ice cream factories) of Vermont to the rivers (and baseball fields) of Minnesota. Seems like Dad is the only one without a vacation in July but since his life is a vacation, he’s set.
All things aside, the move was fantastically smooth. It was an all-hands packing effort and everyone did their part. Between the hired movers hauling the furniture (best money we ever spent on a 100 degree day!) and the hard work of Will, Sophia, and Mom, most of our stuff was in Stafford before the family dispersed. Mumsie and I only had a couple of trips to make with the van (in the 90 degree heat) before the Alexandria house was empty.
Here’s to the next chapter!
