BOOM! The green stuff is finally here. After a little more sweat the backyard is now green! The final push in the fight for green was truly a joint effort on the part of all of the San Diego Wiktors (Phil, Meredith, and Carolyn) as well as Trey, a good friend of Phil’s. The rest of the sprinkler work was finished on Thursday, Friday was spent hauling and spreading about 8 cubic yards of top soil over the yard (there’s another 2 yards in the drive way … know anyone with a truck?), and Saturday we installed 2165 square feet of the green stuff. Now all we have to do is water and mow (and hope it doesn’t die). Next project: landscaping the wall and building a pergola.. but we’ll wait 6 months before starting; right now we’re enjoying our beautiful lawn.
